<br />funds. remaining. in, the.. 1944.. Bond..Fund. It. was reported..that there. was.. $11,500.00. still
<br />left in this fund. Councilman Britschgi .st.ated..that.he would include in his motion that
<br />the work . could. be. farmed . out if . the..Engineering. Department.. could not proceed at this
<br />time. This was concurred in by.the...maker of the second. Motion carried.
<br />City Engineer Jain stated that he would like to meet with the Committee to determine just
<br />what. the. Committee. wants.. done..before...the_.plans-are.star_ted. Councilman Britschgi stated
<br />that, the .second.ste.p. after, the,.r.oad. is built, is.. the -.dredging.. Plans will have to be made
<br />for this._ . Councilman_.Britschgi_.then. moved that., the,. plans.. for_. the dredging. should be farms
<br />out .in the -same manner. as..the..,road plans...... City Engineer Jain stated that the whole plan
<br />should be made.up.at once. and.then..split up.. Councilman Britschgi replied that the Mayor
<br />had, called. a meeting:with.Mr...Cummings,. Standard.Dredging..Cbmpany. The three of them went
<br />out and..looked..into, the, matter. and-it..was..Mr.. Cummings suggestjan that this be done as two
<br />separate_ i.t.ems...The...cos.t.. o.f..dradging.w.ould_ be...te.tween..20..and..30.4 a. cubic yard if the
<br />foreign material. -is. .removed..from..the...bank.... 01,ty_.Enginesr.. Jain. spoke . further on his
<br />thoughts -.in. regard, to this matter...and.then. r.ecommended..that. the,whole matter be turned
<br />over to the. Engine.ering..Department-and..theyvdll.meet.with..the outside firm and the Com-
<br />mittee to.discuss, the.plans. and the .farming .out .of..the. work in regard to plans.. Motion

<br />REPORT ON BID OPENING,.LATH AND PLASTER - RECREATION BUILDING. The City Manager reported that
<br />the followingbids, for. exterior .lath. and. pl.aste.r�. of..the. Recreation Building were received:

<br />Funds for this work were appropriated in the 1955-56 budget, and it is his,recommendation

<br />Schools would be glad to rendertheir services and suggestions and he was of the opinion
<br />that this should be given some thought.
