In reply to the Council's request regarding the Hetch-Hetchy area on the east side of Carson Street, the Commission wishes to advise that this matter was discussed at their May meeting, and a committee -was appointed to study the area in o_uestion, as well as, adjacent and alternate land. Councilman Granger stated that he ~ranted the public to be told that Lisle Winter is on 24 hour call and the City Manager had been given authorization to use the City car because of all the meetings he has to attend. Y Councilman Spillers reported on progress of the 491er building, bleachers and grand stands at Hawes Park, and lights at the new soft ball field. The Mayor asked the City Attorney to check into the possibility of opening the concession stand. Councilman Spillers moved that the permit be granted for the concession stand subject to the approval of the Health Department, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. I' Councilman 'Weiss moved that the City PRanager and the Water Superintendent have full use of the City car. � Councilman Weiss was told thatthe motion was not necessary because permission had been granted long ago. Mayor Royer asked the press to -carry the fact that the City Manager and the Vlater Superintendent have the Council's authority to drive and use the City cars after hours.
