4_95 <br />The motion carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved that the City Engineer ask Bragato Paving Co. if they could <br />do the work on Sunday, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried, Councilman Spillers <br />voting NO. <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2260 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING CERTAIN DESIGNATED <br />ENTRANC:�S TO DESIGNATED INTERSECTIONS TO BE STOP ENTRANCES (Arch Street at each <br />entrance to Broadway; Duane Street at each entrance to Broadway; Clinton Street at <br />each entrance to Broadway; Fifteenth Avenue at each entrance to Page Street) and <br />moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2261 AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF STREET LIGHTING FACILITIES AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />BROADWAY AND EL CAMINO REAL and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner. <br />Councilman Herkner wanted to know what percentage of the cost was to be paid by the <br />State. Mr. Jain said the State would pay 50$0 of the cost. The motion carried on <br />roll call. <br />CIVIL DEFENSE. Councilman Stout offered introduction of ordinance amending Section 3 of <br />Ordinance 665 relating to Civil Defense and Disaster Council Membership to provide <br />that the City Manager shall be Vice Chairman and Assistant Director of Civil Defense <br />and Disaster, and setting forth the duties thereof, seconded by Councilman Weymouth <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner offered RESOLUTION 2262 PROVIDING FOR CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER <br />ORGANIZATION, DEFINING THE POWERS AND DUTIES AND SETTING FORTH THE FUNCTIONS OF SUCH <br />ORGANIZATION, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1037, ADOPTED MARCH 5, 1951 and moved its <br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />APPROVAL FINAL MAP FARM HILLS NO. 3. The City Attorney stated that everything was in <br />order. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2293 APPROVING AND ACCEPTING FINAL <br />SUBDIVISION MAP Or FARM HILL NO. 33 REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN <br />CONDITIONS: APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT THEREOF; <br />AND, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID <br />IMPROVEMENTS and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on <br />roll call. (resolution 2293 is out of order; there is no resolution 2263) <br />Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2264 AUTHORIZING RELEASE AND QUITCLAIM OF CERTAIN <br />REAL PROPER`'2Y BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO CALIFORNIA PACIFIC TITLE INSURANCE <br />COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVEMENT OF FARM HILL BOULEVARD and,moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2265 AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED REAL <br />PROPERTY BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND CALIFORNIA PACIFIC TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY, <br />FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES (Farm Hill Area, water tank site) and moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call. <br />AUTHORIZE CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT STORM DRAINAGE EASEMEiNTS, FARM HILLS NO. 2. Councilman <br />Spillers moved to authorize the City Clerk to accept the storm d rainage easements for <br />Farm Hills No. 2, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />AUTHORIZE FIRE WORKS DISPLAY, P.C.A. FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION. The Clerk read the letter <br />wherein the Fire Department recommends that a permit be issued to the Peninsula <br />Celebration Association. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the recommendation, <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />
