Councilman Weiss asked if this was in accordance with the proper procedure. The City Attorney stated that this was proper because it was under the $500 figure. The motion carried on roll call. RESOLUTION ABANDONING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ON PORTION OF LOT 6, BLOCK 2, WOODSIDE i TERRACE NO. 7. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2276 AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO QUITCLAIM INTEREST OF CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENT, WOODSIDE TERRACE NO. 7 and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll call. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGN ON SERVICE ROAD AT WOODSIDE ROAD AND MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE. The Clerk read the title of the resolution. This was in accordance with the Traffic Committee's recommendation. Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2277 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING CERTAIN DESIGNATED ENTRANCE TO DESIGNATED INTERSECTION TO BE A STOP ENTRANCE and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZINNG EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT, SOIL TESTING AT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. The Clerk read the title of the resolution. This was in accordance with the recommendation of the City Engineer. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2278 AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND WOODWARD-CLYDE AND ASSOCIATES, CONSULTING CIVIL ENGINEERS, FOR SOIL INVESTIGATION SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT ADDITIONS and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call. INTRODUCE ORDINANCE TO REZONE PORTION OF LOT 91 BLOCK I. WOODSIDE ACRES NO. 1 TO C -1-H (1614 Hudson Street). The Clerk read the title of the proposed ordinance. ' This was recommended by the Planning Commission. Councilman Spillers offered introduction of ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600 to rezone portion of Lot 90 Block Lettered "I", Woodside Acres, from R-2 District to C -1-H District, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. REQUEST EXTENSION SIDEWALK NOTICE, MICHEL PROPERTY. The City Engineer stated that this is the second request for an extension. The people are trying to sell the property and make the new property owners pay for the improvements to the sidewalk. This was followed by discussion after which the Committee recommended that they give a fifteen day extension to the original request for extension. Councilman Stout moved that the work start within fifteen days after the time limit is up on the original extension, seconded by Councilman Weiss. Councilman Granger was of the opinion that they should not give any extension of time. The City Attorney stated that they could grant the extension of 15 days and still retain jurisdiction of the matter. The motLon carried. LETTER FROM PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION REGARDING CONDITION OF BRIDGE, COMMUNITY PARK. The Clerk read the letter wherein the Commission recommended that the necessary steps be taken to relieve the present hazard. They are well aware of the possible expense involved, but they hope some temporary measures can be taken until a more permanent' solution can be found. Councilman Spillers moved that this be referred to the City Engineer for a recommendation within 30 days (July 22, 1957), seconded by Councilman Stout and carried.
