M. Mr. Weiss indicated that a service station will certainly require a greater quantity of water than a residence. This might be true if car washing is practiced, but our records of other filling stations where car washing is not permitted and septic tanks are used show that water consumption is generally less than a normal two bedroom home. I sincerely hope that this provides Councilman Weiss some of the answers to his proposed questions. Eugune Mason Howell Public Health Engineer Councilman Weiss expressed his appreciation of the letter from Mr. Howell. He was of the opinion that these people should be treated as the other people in the 1herald Lake area with regard to water service. Councilman Weiss moved that the report be made a part of the record, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. MISS ADRIENNE WEINER REGARDING ALLEGED PERSONAL INJURY AT SWIM POOL. The Clerk read the letter. Councilman Weiss moved that this communication be referred to the insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. The Mayor called attention to the study meetings on July 24th and July 31st- Councilman Granger moved that the last Monday of July (July 29th) be substituted for the July 31st study meeting and that no study meeting be held on July 31st, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. Councilman Stout brought attention to the fact that the plaques on the concrete benches are being taken off and he asked that this matter be given consideration. This was followed by discussion. Councilman Granger was of the opinion that this should be referred to the Park Superintendent. CouncLlman Stout moved that this matter be referred to the City Man ger requesting the Park Department to replace theplacques, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. Councilman Granger stated that Assemblyman Britschgi was in the audience and ought to be regognized and asked to make a report on happenings in Sacramento. The Mayor asked Assemblyman Britschgi to give the Council a few words. Mr. Britschgi stated that he has been visiting cities in the area and he just wants them to know that he is interested in them. He spoke about the legislation with regard.to annexation of islands. He referred to other legislation and mentioned in particular the matter of local control such as hours that the firemen could work and also the setting of holidays.
