1-8 <br />w' <br />limits <br />of <br />Redwood City and Woodside. <br />There are no buildings or other improvements' on the land. The <br />Boundary Commission has approved the property description. The Mayor ordered the Engineer's affidavit <br />of Contiguity filed. He also ordered the Clerk's affidavit that there were less than 12 registered voters <br />in the territory filed. Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0, 3195 BEING A RESOLUTION CF <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE CF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION T0, INITIATE ON ITS <br />OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN <br />TERRITORY; <br />SAID TERRITORY AND <br />DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "ODDSTAD ANNEXATION N0, 1"; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING SAID ANNEXATION; <br />MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND,* GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL <br />WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEXATION, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, <br />Councilmen Granger and Royer being noted absent (public hearing to be November 7, 1960), <br />RESOLUTION CF INTENTION TO INITIATE ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS, WICKETT ANNEXATION. The Planning Commission esta- <br />blished 11 lots of 40,000 square feet in the area to be annexed which is 18.958 acres,, being a portion of <br />Lot 14, Subdivision of Sweeny Ranch at Second, Bay Road$ Fifth Avenue near Spring Street. The Boundary <br />Commission has approved the property description and the Annexation Committee recommends the proposal. The <br />Mayor ordered the Engineer's Affidavit of Contiguity filed; also the Clerks affidavit of less than 12 <br />registered voters in the territory. There were no written communications. Councilman Stehle moved adopt- <br />ion of RESOLUTION N0. 3196 BEING A RESOLUTION CF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE CF, <br />AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION <br />TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNIN- <br />HABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME IWICKETT ANNEXATION"; GIVING <br />ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING SAID ANNEXATICN; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND, GIVING <br />NOTICE CF THE TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEXATION,. seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger and Councilman Royer being noted absent. <br />(public hearing November 7, 1960.) <br />CLAIM FOR ALLEGED PROPERTY DAMAGE, PHILIP A THOM, 2025 Kentucky Street. Councilman Fields moved to deny the <br />claim and refer it to the insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #60-192) <br />Request by County of San Mateo for cancellation of taxes on County arced property recently acquired at the corner <br />of Spring and Chestnut Streets for use as a Corporation Yard. The property in question is as follows: <br />Parcel 1 - portion of Lot "B", Dumbarton Acres. <br />Parcel 2 - portion of Lot "B", Dumbarton Acres. <br />Parcel 3 - acreage in Eastern Addition and Sweeny Addition; part of the undivided portion of Block <br />50, Eastern Addition. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to grant the cancellation subject to the approval of the City Attorney (MINUTE <br />ORDER #60-193), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3197 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION CF CONTRACT RELATIVE TO WATER SERVICE <br />FOR THE CORDILLERAS GLEN SUBDIVISION, seconded by Oouncilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, <br />Councilmen Granger and Royer being noted absent. <br />Councilman Herkner moved introduction of an ordinance adding Section 195 to Ordinance No. 758 to prohibit park- <br />ing on El Camino Real in the vicinity of Broadway and authorzing the City Manager to mark the curb area and <br />erect appropriate signs giving notice of the parking prohibition and sharing any tow -away zone, seconded by <br />Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved introduction of an ordinance adding Sections 154, 155, 196, 196.1 and 1964 to Ordinance <br />No. 758 to establish a vehicle tow -away zone for El bamino Real between Winklebleck Street and Brewster Ave- <br />nue and to adopt a procedure for the removal of vehicles, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />Cecelia M. Weiner, requests permission to move a frame structure from 2919 Stevens Creek Road to Stafford and "B" <br />Streets in a 0-1-F District, Lot 1, Block 10, Lenolt. The Planning Commission recommended that the Council <br />approve the permit subject to conformance with all building and fire codes of the City. The Building Inspector <br />recommended that in the event this application is approved it should be made to comply to all Building, Plumb- <br />11k <br />
