Herkner, and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, Assistant City Attorney Richard Gardella, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Police Chief William Faulstich, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Street Maintenance Superintendent Doyle Chester and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. Councilman Fields moved approval of the minutes of September 19th, 1960, as mailed, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3205 OVERRULING DECISION CF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND GRANTING A VARIANCE IN FAVOR OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY, (Church of the Nazarene sign construction) , seconded by Councilman Fields and carried on roll call, Councilmen Fields, Royer and Mayor pro»tem Herkner voting yes,: Councilman Rosselli voting no and Councilmen Granger, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3206 WITHDRAWING ANNE!® TERRITORY KNOWN AS "EDGECLIFF ANNEXATION" FROM EMERALD LAKE LIGHTING DISTRICT AND WOCDSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3207 WITHDRAWING ANNEXED TERRITORY KNOWN AS "MARSH ROAD ANNEXATION" FROM MENLO PARK LIGHTING DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unani- mously on roll call, Councilmen Granger, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESGLUTION NO. 3208 TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $765 FROM THE UNBUDGETED UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE INSURANCE ACCOUNT, seconded by Councilman Rossellj and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE RELEASE ON DOCK DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE MS DONA MARU. A catwalk and some piling were damaged. As a result of negotiations by the City and Shipowner the sum of $900 was arrived at as a fair compromise. Councilman Rosselli moved to authorize the City Manager to sign the release and the money to be allocated in next year's 7gudget to the Marina (MINUTE ORDER #60-203), seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3209 APPR07ING SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW AUTOMOBILE AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR (Fire Chief's Car), seconded by Councilman Royer and carried unani- mously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Stehle, and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESCLUTION N0. 3210 AUTHORIZING SALE OF PORTION CF LOT 1, BLOCK "I", WOODSIDE ACRES SUBDIVISION N0. 1, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR,, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger, StehU and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. This piece of property was acquired by the City for the extension of Norman Street. Since the Planning Commission has abandoned the plan lines for Norman Street this property is no longer required for street purposes. The City Clerk was requested to contact all property owners whose prop - arty adjoins the parcel to be advertised for sale.
