<br />PETITION REQUESTING STANDARD ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING STORM DRAINAGE IN THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 22 FRIENDLY ACRES
<br />SUBDIVISION N0. 2, between Marsh Road and Annette Avenue. This petition represents the owners of 1151
<br />feet of alley frontage out of a total of 1794 feet, or about 64% of the total. 100% of the owners o8 the
<br />Bayshore Frontage Road signed the petition, but only 28% or owners of 5 lots out of a total of 18 lots front-
<br />:
<br />ing.on Hoover Street signed the petition.
<br />There was discussion on charging the assessments in proportion to the benefits received. Councilman Royer
<br />moved to authorize the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications, and the City Auditor to advance
<br />preliminary engineering costs, to be reimbursed from the assessment district (MINUTE ORDER #60-258)s seconded
<br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
<br />Request of Planning Department to hire draftsman and economist -planner temporariy.for no longer than six months
<br />in order that the zoning map and general plan can be completed by the end of June. This was followed by
<br />discussion as t�, whether or not the general plan can be completed and put into use by the end of June. The
<br />Planning Director. was of the opinion that this could be done, and his present staff would be able in the
<br />future to keep the plan up to date without the hiring of additional help. Some of the Council were of the
<br />opinion that there was no need of hiring additional outside help but that the work could be done by use of
<br />help from the Engineering Department. Mr. Wilkinson also stated that the general plan was for the entire
<br />area of Redwood City and not just the bay front. Councilman Stehle moved to ipprove the request (MINUTE ORDER
<br />#60-259):, seconded by Cogncilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote with Cojncilmen Fields, Rosselli,
<br />Stehle and Mayor Weymouth voting yes, and Councilmen Herkner, Granger,-and.Royer voting no.

<br />Balance of the General Fund to Planning Department Salaries acdount and amending Ordinance No. 824, the Salary
<br />Ordinance, to provide for a classification of Associate Planner and establishing the salary range therefor,
<br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, Granger, Rosselli, Stehle and
<br />Mayor Weymouth voting yes, and Councilmen Herkner and Royer voting no.

<br />Councilman Royer moved to set the matter for public hearing on December 19th, seconded by Councilman Herkner
