Moore, City Clerk <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />December 12, 1960, 8:00 P.M. <br />Invocation was led by City Clerk Moore. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner,, <br />John S. Rosselli, William H.RTyer, Harold C. Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen Co Moore. <br />Also noted present were City Manager J. Be Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Police Chief William <br />Faulstich, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Planning Director Dick Wilkinson, <br />Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Associ- <br />ate Engineer William Wallace and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of December 5th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Stehle and <br />carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON CORDILLERAS GLEN ANNEXATION. The public hearing was declared openand the affidavits of public- <br />ation and notice; affidavit of assessed valuation; and the affidavit that fewer than owners of half the value <br />of the territory have protested were ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman <br />Rosselli moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3263 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED- <br />WOOD CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF <br />CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "CORDILLERAS GLEN ANNEXATION" HAS NOT BEEN MADE BY OYNERS OF <br />ONE-HAIF OF THE VALUE OF PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY AS SHOWN BY THE LAST EQUALIZED <br />ROLL, NOR BY THE OffNERS OF CNFP-HALF OF THE VALUE OF PUBLICLY OPINED PROPERTY WITHIN SAID TERRITORY ASDETER- <br />MINED BY SAID COUNCIL, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Herkner <br />moved introduction of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City approving the annexation to the City of Redwood <br />City of certain uninhabited territory designated "Cordilleras Glen Annexation" and herein described, and here- <br />in annexing said territory to said City of Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 986 APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $6,840 FROM UNBUDGETED, UNAPPROPRI- <br />ATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO PLANNING DEPARTMENT SALARIES ACCOUNT AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8243, THE <br />SALARY ORDINANCE, TO PROVIDE FOR A CLASSIFICATION OF ASSOCIATE PLANNER AND ESTABLISHING A SALARY RANGE THERE- <br />FOR, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, Rosselli, Stehle and Mayor <br />Weymouth voting yes and Councilmen Granger, Herkner and Royer voting no. The affidavit of publication was <br />oxdered f fled. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to set the matter of the resolution of intention by the Planning Commission to amend <br />Ordinance No. 600 to provide that the Planning Commission 8f the City shall assume the functions of the <br />Board of Adjustments for a public hearing on January 9, 1961, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, TENNIS COURT RESURFACING. Only one bid was recieved and that was from Malott & Peterson - <br />Grundy in the amount of $43124458. Councilman Granger asked that the minutes show the reason it was recom- <br />mended that the bids be rejected was because the time limit was too stringent and therefor caused the bidder <br />to submit an excessive bid. Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 32614 REJECTING ALL BIDS <br />FOR RESURFACING OF TENNIS COURTS AT COMMUNITY PARK AND MEZES PARK, REDWOOD CITY; APPROVING REVISED SPECI- <br />FICATIONS FOR SAID WORK; AND, AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH REVISED SPECIFICATIONS, <br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried on roll call with Councilmen Herkner, Rosselli, Royer, Stehle and, <br />It <br />
