<br />Claims Nos. 33528 to 33713, inclusive, in the amount of $211,367.18, were authorized to be paid on motion of
<br />Councilman Fields, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried.

<br />August 8, 1960, 8:00 P. M.
<br />Invocation was led by Reverend Wilbur Westerdahl, Peninsula Covenant Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner,
<br />John Rosselli, Harold Co Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen Co Moore. Councilman William
<br />Royer was noted absent. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert Costello, Police
<br />Chief William Faulstich, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assessor -Auditor John J. Bropby, Building Inspector
<br />S. H. Kreiss and Fire Chief Joseph Lodi.
<br />Minutes of the regular meeting of August 1, 1960s were approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Fields, sec-
<br />onded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
<br />The Mayor announced that the Park Department had won second prize of $200 with a floral exhibit at.the San Mateo
<br />County Fiesta.
<br />The Mayor commended Councilmen Rosselli and Herkner, Assemblyman Britschgi and Planning Director Dick Wilkinson
<br />for their outstanding work on the Marina project, which culminated in the receipt of the $300,000 constru-
<br />ction loan, The City Clerk was instructed to write a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Council, to ,
<br />express their gratitude to Assemblyman Carl Britschgi for his fine work and invaluable assistance in cb-
<br />taining this loan to finance the Marina Construction.
<br />Continuation of public hearing on Annexation of Edgewood 1-0. The public hearing was declared open, no one
<br />appearing i0 protest. On motion of Councilman Fields, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried, the
<br />public hearing was continued to the meeting of September 12, 1960. '
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 3172 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING DESIGNATED ENTRANCE TO INTERSECTION OF UPTON STREET AND ROOSEVELT
<br />AVENUE to be a stop entrance, was offered for adoption by Councilman Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Fields
<br />and carried unanimously, Councilman Royer being noted absent.
