<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />4. Monthly Chemical Use Reports: Waterworks shall submit to the Department of <br />Pesticide Regulations monthly chemical use reports detailing the chemicals <br />that were used during each month. The report is due by the 10th day of the <br />month following the month of chemical use. The report is sent directly to San <br />Mateo County Agriculture Commissioners office. A copy of this report will be <br />submitted to the City in the monthly billing along with corresponding forms A, <br />B, and C. <br /> <br />5. Post-Season Review Meeting: Waterworks and city staff will meet at the end <br />of each growth season to review lagoon maintenance issues encountered <br />during the year and make note of management strategies that will help to <br />improve the maintenance approach for the coming season. <br /> <br />a. Waterworks is responsible for initiating the meeting and confirming the <br />meeting date and time, and finalizing the agenda with input from City staff. <br />All meetings will take place in Redwood City at the Municipal Service <br />Center, 1400 Broadway, unless otherwise specified. <br /> <br />b. The meeting will be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date and time, <br />within the months of October through November of each year. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />MECHANICAL HARVESTING <br /> <br />1. Mechanical harvesting of algae and widgeon grass will be performed as needed <br />based on the Waterworks water quality monitoring (surveys) activity described in <br />BA.(i)(iii) above. <br /> <br />2. Harvesting shall be performed when the widgeon grass is within one foot of the <br />lagoon surface or sooner if it is determined that waiting would jeopardize the <br />beneficial uses of the lagoon. <br /> <br />3. Hand harvesting by Waterworks Staff Technicians will be used for areas around <br />docks and beaches where the mechanical harvester cannot be used. <br /> <br />4. Waterworks staffing and equipment includes one senior technician, one staff <br />technician, eight foot head mechanical harvester, conveyer trailer, and 25,000 <br />GVW vehicle to tow trailer and fuel. <br /> <br />5. Waterworks commits to having one (1) Harvester on location at Redwood Shores <br />Lagoon from April 1 through September 30 of each year as a guarantee of <br />service. <br /> <br />6. Waterworks will bring in a second Harvester within 24 hours of identifying the <br />accelerated growth. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />CHEMICAL APPLICATIONS <br /> <br />1. Waterworks will assess the need for treatments and apply chemical treatments, <br />following the communication protocol described under B. Water Quality <br />Monitoring and in section G.
