<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />a. Algaecide: The lagoon management plan calls for the algaecide/bactericide <br />EarthTec. EarthTec is approved for its low copper concentrations and <br />bactericide properties. Waterworks staffing and equipment for chemical <br />applications include the chemical EarthTec, boat with motor, spray <br />equipment, one chemical applicator and one staff technician. <br /> <br />b. Herbicide: The lagoon management plan calls for the herbicide REWARD. <br />Reward was approved for the control of widgeon grass in the areas of the <br />lagoon where the harvester is inefficient or unable to harvest the widgeon <br />grass. Waterworks staffing and equipment for chemical applications <br />include the chemical Reward, boat with motor, spray equipment, one <br />chemical applicator and one staff technician. <br /> <br />3. Chemical Applications at Neptune Beach: Chemical applications to the Neptune <br />Beach Area require strict adherence to the communication protocol stipulated in <br />the Draft Manaqement Plan: Redwood Shores laqoon (Revised July 2003), <br />Section 5.3.3. "City Guidelines for Applying Aquatic Pesticides," in addition to <br />notifying, Redwood City staff and the City's water quality testing consultant, Scott <br />Cressey. <br /> <br />a. Notification as to the intent to make chemical applications and posting of <br />warning signs as per the Lagoon Management Plan giving the Redwood <br />Shores Residents 24 hour Notice. <br /> <br />4. Waterworks will use a Qualified Licensed Applicator Category F, licensed by the <br />Department of Pesticide Regulations when applying chemical treatments to <br />Redwood Shores lagoons. <br /> <br />5. Waterworks is responsible for maintaining current, appropriate licenses from the <br />Department of Pesticides Regulations for all Waterworks employees assigned to <br />apply chemicals to the Redwood Shores Lagoon. <br /> <br />6. Waterworks is responsible for keeping the City updated on the validity of pesticide <br />applicator licenses for all employees assigned to apply chemicals to the Redwood <br />Shores Lagoon. <br /> <br />F) <br /> <br />EQUIPMENT LIST <br /> <br />The following equipment will be dedicated to the Redwood Shores Lagoon <br />Management Project.
