Item No. 3 (continued) <br />Frank Addieqo, Director of Public Works, used transparencies to illustrate <br />the vacation of the non - access restriction. He explained that the cash <br />deposit for the improvement costs would go to the City because of <br />participation in the original cost. <br />Joel Patterson, Planner, responded to questions regarding the traffic problem <br />on Hawes Court, and what could be built on the lot if access were allowed <br />from Hawes Court. <br />Mayor Claire opened the public hearing at 8:28 p.m. <br />The following people spoke in favor of the vacation: <br />Ralph Hansteen, Terrace Realty, representing the owner of the property in <br />question - 1173 Palm Avenue <br />Marty Brookman, Brookman Realty, San Mateo <br />The following people spoke against the vacation: <br />Alfred Dixon, 1171 Kandle Way <br />Anton Mayer, owner of 1514 and 1516 Hawes Court <br />Norman Sodman, 1504 Hawes Court <br />Rick Sutton, 1517 Hawes court <br />Mayor Claire invited anyone else who wished to speak to do so. No one wished <br />to speak. <br />M /S: Stangel /Chandler to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and the public hearing closed at 8:54 p.m. <br />M /S: Chandler /LaBerge to terminate proceedings for vacating a non - access <br />restriction to Hawes Court, a public right -of -way, appurtenant to a lot at <br />1173 Palm Avenue. <br />The motion carried on the following roll call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Chandler, Greenalch, La Berge and <br />Mayor Claire <br />Noes: Councilman Stangel MINUTE ORDER NO. 87 -2 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />4.
