He explained that the cash <br />deposit for the improvement costs would go to the City because of <br />participation in the original cost. <br />Joel Patterson, Planner, responded to questions regarding the traffic problem <br />on Hawes Court, and what could be built on the lot if access were allowed <br />from Hawes Court. <br />Mayor Claire opened the public hearing at 8:28 p.m. <br />The following people spoke in favor of the vacation: <br />Ralph Hansteen, Terrace Realty, representing the owner of the property in <br />question - 1173 Palm Avenue <br />Marty Brookman, Brookman Realty, San Mateo <br />The following people spoke against the vacation: <br />Alfred Dixon, 1171 Kandle Way <br />Anton Mayer, owner of 1514 and 1516 Hawes Court <br />Norman Sodman, 1504 Hawes Court <br />Rick Sutton, 1517 Hawes court <br />Mayor Claire invited anyone else who wished to speak to do so.
