i. When any provision of the Contract Documents calls for design, materials, or construction of a higher quality or larger size than required by governing codes, the provisions of the Contract Documents shall take precedence. j. The DB shall pay, at no additional cost to the City, all licenses, permits, business and occupation taxes, state and local sales taxes, consumer taxes, levies, duties, and assessments of every nature imposed by law which are applicable to any Work under this Agreement and are legally enacted as of the date of this Agreement whether or not yet effective; excepting, however, payment of fees for i.nspections, tests, permits, plan check, and otherwise as required by any agency having jurisdiction over the Project. The FAP and any agreed variations thereof shall include all licenses, permits, business and occupation taxes, state and local sales taxes, consumer taxes, levies, duties, and assessments the payment for which is the responsibility of the DB. k The DB shall give notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and lawful orders of public authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. The DB shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances relative to licensing and registration requirements and to conducting business in the City of Redwood City. I. The DB shall furnish the City with copies of all correspondence to regulatory agencies, with approval authority over any part of the Work, for Review and Concurrence prior to mailing such correspondence to such regulatory agencies. m. The DB shall coordinate design and construction activities with local utility companies, the local telephone company, and all federal, state, county and City agencies having jurisdiction over the Project. n.
