limited to, existing structures and existing mechanical, electrical, and other systems'which may <br />affect or be affected by the Work, and to have included suitable allowance within the Contract <br />Documents Sum for the conditions and limitations under which the Work is to be performed. No <br />allowance will be made for additional cost to the DB resulting from the DB's failure to fully <br />acquaint itself with existing conditions and to compare the same with the requirements of the <br />Contract Documents. <br /> <br /> B. The DB acknowledges that it will take steps reasonably necessary to ascertain <br />the nature and location of the Work, and that it will investigate and satisfy itself as to the <br />general and local conditions which can affect the Work or its cost, including, but not limited to, <br />conditions existing that affect the design or engineering of the site or buildings; conditions <br />bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling, and storage of materials; the availability of <br />labor, water, electric power, and roads; uncertainties of weather, water table, river stages, tides, <br />or similar physical conditions at the site; the conformation and condition of the ground; and the <br />character of equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during Work performance. <br /> <br /> C. The DB acknowledges that it will satisfy itself as to the character, quality, and <br />quantity of surface and subsurface materials or obstacles to be encountered insofar as this <br />information is reasonably ascertainable from an inspection of the site and all exploratory work <br />done by or on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> D. The various site plans and surveys included in the Request for Proposals are not <br />intended as surveys of all existing conditions and only indicate in general certain conditions <br />related to the Work to be done. Information regarding existing conditions has been determined <br />as reasonably as possible but may not be shown exactly.
