Item No. 1 (continued) <br />M/S : LaBerge /Stangel that since it is understood that a similar <br />recommendation to that of the Civic Cultural Commission may be coming from <br />the Planning Commission relating to changing the membership to allow <br />non - Redwood City members to be appointed that action be withheld until the <br />items can be heard together. <br />MOTION WITHDRAWN: Upon advice of Senior Assistant City Attorney Case that a <br />Charter change would be required for such a change on the Planning Commission <br />Councilwoman LaBerge withdrew her motion. <br />M/S : Gree nal ch /LaBerge to allow membership on the Civic Cultural Commission <br />by persons living i n the "Redwood City Sphere of Influence" (as defined by <br />the Local Agency Formation Commission), with no particular number of <br />non-resident members to be set. <br />The motion carried by majority voice vote which Vice Mayor Chandler <br />determined to be 3 to 2. <br />Mrs. Case said that the Council action will require an ordinance which will <br />be prepared and placed on the Consent Calendar as soon as possible in <br />accordance with usual practice. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 87 -108 <br />--------------- - - - -- <br />CITY MANAGER REPORTS <br />2. Report re concept approval of construction of <br />house on City -owned lot (Pine & Middlefield Road) <br />Report: Community Development Director 6/5/87 <br />In response to question, Councilman Greenal ch of the Housing and Human <br />Concerns Committee described the "family" which could be expected to occupy <br />the house, stating that the members would generally be unrelated and consist <br />of possibly a senior, a single parent with a child or two and another single <br />adult with the home being designed for the use to provide a family atmosphere <br />with adequate privacy for the residents. <br />Sue Lempert, Human Investment Project, Inc. (HIP) described the program for <br />home sharing, its success to date and the HIP desire for continued success. <br />M /S: Stangel /Britschgi to approve the concept of the proposal to design and <br />build a single - family house on the City -owned lot at Pine Street and <br />Middlefield Road, the house to be used by Shared Home Program as described in <br />the report of the Community Development Director in his report of June 5, <br />1987. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 87-109 <br />Reg.Mtg.
