Mr. McCourt asked Council to place a <br />measure proposing such a body on the ballot, preferably in November 1987. <br />It was explained that complaints can always be brought to the City Council <br />and that the initiative process is available for prospective ballot measures. <br />b) Jon Spangler, 525 Vera Avenue #6, invited everyone present to participate in <br />the bicycle ride sponsored by the Western Wheelers Bicycle Club and the <br />Redwood City Bicycle Plan Study Group on Sunday, August 16, and distributed a <br />flyer regarding it. <br />c) Patricia Weible, 531 Woodside Road, reported she has been a victim of a <br />brutal and dishonest police officer, described her court appearance recently <br />and said she does not want anyone else to have similar experiences. She <br />stated that complaints to the Police Chief were not effective.
