Councilman Bury reported he attended the meeting earlier today of the San <br />Mateo Convention and Visitors Bureau where the proposed $16 million bond <br />issue on the November ballot relating to a development plan for the fair- <br />grounds was discussed and requested that the Legislative Committee meet soon <br />to review and make recommendations on the measure. <br />CONSENSUS: Vice Mayor Chandler determined it to be the consensus of Council <br />that the Legislative Committee consider as soon as possible both the measure <br />relating to the fairgounds and the one relating to the BART extension. <br />MEMO 8/25/87 <br />b) CONSENSUS: Vice Mayor Chandler determined it to be the consensus of Council <br />to accept the recommendation of Councilman Stangel to appoint the two <br />applicants to the two vacancies now existing on the Housing and Human <br />Concerns Committee at the next meeting of the City Council, both applicants <br />being well - qualified and known to Council members from previous interview <br />sessions. (Applicants are Carol L. Roth and John A.
