Item No. 2 (continued) <br />CLARIFICATION: Councilman Stangel stated that it is the intent of his motion <br />that bids be sought for both the one and two -story proposed rehabilitation <br />plans. <br />The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -07 <br />Councilman Claire stated for the record that it is requested that John <br />Cooper of Neighborhood Boards attempt to have his organization get the pastor <br />of Mt. Carmel Church involved in assisting the Escobedos with their <br />understanding of what is required of them in the neighborhood. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />(1) Frank Sheetz, member of Senior Affairs Commission, 1903 East Bayshore <br />Boulevard, asked that the City Council support of SB 338 relating to <br />senior and handicapped housing be reaffirmed with letters to Senator <br />Alquist and other members of the State Senate Appropriations Committee. <br />Mr. Sheetz also requested a copy of the letter be sent to him for his <br />records in support of the bill. <br />(2) Jack Greenalch, 870 Seminole, former chairperson of the Housing and Human <br />Concerns Committee, said there has been no change in the bill since the <br />Committee had stated support of it, and asked the Council to grant Mr. <br />SheetzI request. <br />(3) Tom Jordan, 1 Odessa Court, Chairman, Senior Affairs Commission, also <br />urged Council to reaffirm support of SB 338. <br />M /S: Chandler /Claire to reaffirm support of SB 338 as previously recommended <br />by the Legislative Committee and supported by the City Council and that the <br />letter reaffirming support be sent to Senator Alquist of the Senate <br />Appropriations Committee with copies to other Committee members.
