City Council acceptance of the findings of the Audit. <br />2. City acceptance and endorsement of the educational program as defined by <br />the working committee. A copy of the educational program is attached. <br />3. The educational program calls for 12 buildings to be monitored during the <br />year, with the results being shared with the owner, as part of the <br />educative effort. If, during the first six months of the program, there <br />is an agreed need for additional educational monitoring, then this should <br />be added to the program. <br />4. The twelve -month program should be evaluated after six months and a <br />decision made about the need for another audit at the end to access the <br />effectiveness of the educative efforts. <br />5. Housing and Human Concerns Committee status report re <br />Transitional Housing Facility (203 -04) <br />Report dated 1/13/86 <br />Jack Greenalch, 870 Seminole, Chairman, Housing and Human Concerns Committee, <br />presented the subject report and recommendations and distributed a brochure <br />describing Housing Fund and Housing Development Corporation. Mr. Greenalch <br />replied to question relating to the recommendations, stating that <br />negotiations will have to take place to protect the City's interest. <br />Fran Wagstaff, Executive Director of Mid Peninsula Coalition Housing Fund, <br />stated the organization is a public non - profit one with a volunteer board of <br />directors which provides housing to those in need. Ms. Wagstaff said the <br />cost of operating the facility would be the responsibility of Emergency <br />Housing Consortium of Santa Clara County and expressed willingness to <br />consider a lease rather than ownership of the facility. <br />City Manager Smith stated that the City has had long term experience with the <br />Consortium and that concerns of the City will be addressed in the <br />negotiations. <br />Barry del Buono, 321 North 7th Street, San Jose, Executive Director, <br />Emergency Housing Consortium, described the activities of the organization, <br />the cost of its operations, his fund - raising activities and distributed a <br />brochure. <br />Reg.Mtg.
