Housing Coordinator Church replied to questions relating to administration and contingency allocations and, in further response to question, said that funds cannot be held for future use beyond 1 -112 times the annual allocation to the City. Mayor Claire declared the public hearing open at 8:50 p.m. Ken Love, spoke for Elaine Cornell, 542 Quartz Street, reporting her favorable experience with the Home Sharing Program. In response to question, he said that probably college students could be accommodated also. Lois Almond, 631 Columbia Drive, San Mateo, Director of Home Sharing Program, said that students could be helped with housing, but that long term arrangements are the focus of the program. Jolly Perkocha, officer of the Home Sharing Program, described the Redwood City program and introduced persons in the audience associated with it. Donni Grotti, Tri County Apartment Association, 792 Meridian Way, San Jose, referred to her letter to Council of June 5, 1986 requesting information from Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing (MCFH), stating her association addressed the request to Council because of the City's agreement with MCFH, noting that she had not made the request of MCFH. Dick Rowe, Executive Director of MCFH, 457 Kingsley, Palo Alto, said MCFH makes information available upon request or at their own initiative, with the exception of confidential information. Mr. Rowe said it is his intention to develop a standard monthly reporting form to submit to each jurisdiction to which MCFH reports. Mayor Claire invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so. No one else wished to speak. M /S: Greenalch / Stangel to close the public hearing.
