C. The extent to which the structure conforms to the general character of
other structures in the vicinity insofar as the character can be ascertained and is
found to be architecturally desirable;

Furthermore, he is plannh~g a large swimming pool in his front yard facing my front
door, and situating his home so that his backyard faces Southview Way. I fred this
offensive and not in congruence with the general plan. Also, the project is on top of
an exposed hillside and will be ob~a'usive. The planned vegetation is out of place,
Oleandars and Olive Trees, and little attempt was made to preserve the natural
habitat. According to the Zoning Code:

45.8 Architectural Standards
D. The e~ent to which excessive ornamentation is to be used and the extent to
which temporm3' and second-hand materials, or materials which are imitative of
other materials, are to be used;

E. The extent to which natural features, including trees, shrubs, creeks, and rocks,
and the natural grade of the site are to be retained;

The ullramodern design of the house is unattractive and would be an eyesore on a
street where all of the houses are conservative wood sided frame homes. Why is the
pool being allowed in the front yard?

In addition the home would cover most of the usable open space leaving only very,
steep hillsides remaining. I have requested, bm not seen an environmental assessment
for the project which includes all aspects of the development. The Environmental
Assesment must be in accord with the California Em, ironmental Quality Act. The one
on file does not meet the minimum requirements. Since several us obtain our water
from wells we need to know how such a large structure will impact the groundwater
table, runoff, and drainage. I will challenge this development in court if I do not get a
satisfactory, answer to the environmental question and an assessment that conforms to
the California Environmental Quality Act..

I have spoken to other residents of Sonthview Way and I am not alone in my concern
that an environmental assessment has not been performed, but is of grave concern.
The planning process requires this report. Why has it been ignored?

7. My Farahyar and his architect intentionally misrepresented the neighborhood at the
public hearing. They stated that the average lot on Southview Way is less than 0.5
acre in size and that since 747 Southveiw Way is a much larger parcel it can have a
larger structure and fit in. In fact, my lot is next door to 747 Southveiw and is .75
acres, 730 Siouthview is .8 acres, and the other lots all all larger than 0.5 acres. This
is well known to Mr. Farahyar, and it is absurd to think that the archetiect would have
this wrong. If so than it is a good indication that other things about the proposed
project or erroneous as well. Actually, 747 Southview is effectively much smaller
