Item No. 3 (continued) <br />In response to request from Councilwoman LaBerge, City Manager Smith said <br />that he will ask the Community Development Department to prepare a <br />demographic report with regard to ages, etc. of population in Redwood City. <br />MEMO 7/25/86 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />4. Public Hearing - Application for a Building Moving <br />Permit to move a one -story single family dwelling from <br />1427 Cherry Street, San Carlos to 1040 Valota Road - <br />Dennis J. Pantano, applicant (707 -05) <br />Report: Community Development Director and Building Official 7/14/85 <br />Affidavits of Publication of Notice of Hearing and of Mailing are on file. <br />Councilman Bury disclosed information he received independently relating to <br />the proposed Moving Permit, stating that he visited the structure with Mr. <br />Pantano and observed that the interior appears to be in good condition and <br />that the proposed exterior improvements seem to be sufficient to make the <br />house compatible with the neighborhood. <br />In response to question, Community Development Director Schroeter said that <br />no conditions have been made with regard to landscaping for the single - family <br />home. <br />In further response to question regarding landscaping, Senior Assistant City <br />Attorney Case said that while landscaping might not be an appropriate <br />condition in the subject permit, it might be possible to enter into a special <br />agreement with the applicant although it would be unusual for a single-family <br />residence. <br />Mayor Claire declared the public hearing open at 10:17 p.m. <br />Dennis Pantano, 2200 Lake Road, Belmont, applicant, said that he plans to <br />provide the landscaping depicted in the colored sketches of the building as <br />proposed to exist on the Valota Road lot. Mr. Pantano presented a petition <br />signed by 19 residents of the Valota Road neighborhood indicating that they <br />approve Mr. Pantano's plan for the building and landscaping as depicted. <br />Eula Smith, 1712 Roosevelt, owner of adjacent property, said she has seen the <br />drawings of the building and proposed landscaping and supports Mr. Pantano's <br />application. <br />Mayor Claire invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so.
