Councilman Greenalch requested that the Legislative Committee consider and <br />make recommendations relating to Propositions 61 and 64 on the Statewide <br />Election ballot for November 4, 1986. <br />MEMO 8/21/86 <br />3. Councilman Greenalch suggested "scholarships" be made available in the amount <br />of $8.00 each for those who might want to attend the community meeting on <br />November 8, 1986 and cannot afford the charge which includes lunch. <br />MEMO 8/21/86 <br />4. Councilman Greenalch suggested that a member of the Council or City staff <br />attend the School District meeting on Wednesday, August 20, 1986, when infant <br />care will be discussed, suggesting the City /School Liaison Committee might be <br />involved. <br />MEMO 8/21/86 <br />5. Park and Recreation Commission recommendation re <br />Redwood Shores school site (1302 -02) <br />Report: City Manager 8/14/86 <br />Parks and Recreation Superintendent Hartman presented the subject report and <br />in response to questions, said funds will come from the acquisition fund and <br />that specific development plans would come later, but a statement of intent <br />is required now. <br />Judy Buchan, 1126 Allerton, member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br />urged adoption of the proposed resolution. <br />Jerry Mortensen, 452 Barnegat, member of the Park and Recreation Commission, <br />and resident of Redwood Shores, stated that the property is centrally located <br />and much needed. <br />Robert Slusser,541 Cringle, President of the Redwood Shores Homeowners <br />Association, said there is a need for space for competitive sports in that <br />area and the school site is well - located.
