Item No. 4 (continued) <br />c) That adequate Little League playing fields to replace Kiwanis and <br />Mitchell be provided without fail, by the City. <br />d) Parking for the 49ers should be provided around their new facility <br />and in the area of Bechet Field. This would alleviate the parking <br />congestion at the Veterans's Building. <br />Additional Recommendations <br />1) The Committee appointed two sub - committees to immediately look at <br />alternative sites of larger size. <br />a) Sub - Committee to look at sites totally within Redwood City ( including <br />Redwood Shores) <br />b) Sub - Committee to investigate Canada College site. Recommendations <br />due September 16, 1986. <br />2) Strongly recommend that the City Council direct the Parks and Recreation <br />Director and Parks and Recreation Commission to immediately recommend <br />alternative Little League sites.) <br />CLARIFICATION: Councilman Britschgi, in agreement with his second, said that <br />it is the intent of his motion to accept the report as a conceptual design <br />for agreement. <br />AMENDMENT TO MOTION: Councilman Britschgi, `with the consent of his second, <br />amended the motion to continue the exploration for 30 days. <br />The motion with clarification and amendment carried on the following roll <br />call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Greenalch and Mayor Claire <br />Noes: Councilwoman LaBerge <br />Abstained: Councilman Stangel <br />MINUTE ORDER N0. 86 -163 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br />There being no objection, Mayor Claire ordered item 30. under Written <br />Communications be heard at this time. <br />30.
