Proposal for Fuel Leak Case Support Services
Redwood City, California

.

Prepare an NF A letter presenting the results of the search for documentation about the UST near
former Fire House No.1, as requested by GPP. The reasons an NFA request may include that
there is no documentation that the UST was ever installed, that the identified UST location is
inaccessible beneath the library, and that any hydrocarbons encountered in a boring advanced in
an accessible location would most likely be from one of the other tanks identified in the GPP
letter.

.

Prepare work plans for accessing the lateral and vertical extent of contamination as required by
the County for Case #'s 330209 and 330143, if warranted based on the results ofreviewing City
and County files for both these sites.

.

Provide the City with copies of both tank removal reports, and the GPP with a copy of the SMCo
Case #330209 tank removal report.

.

Claim all four sites within the State Geotracker database.

Task 02

Task 02 is optional, if case closure or the NFA is not granted for SMC Case #330141 or the "Additional
Required Work" site (1,000 gallon UST near the former Fire House No.1). Work plans for these two sites

will be prepared to assess the lateral and vertical extent of contamination as required by the GPP letter.

Each work plan will include the items required by GPP, including a scaled area map showing surrounding
land use, a scaled site plan showing the fonner product facilities, sample locations, and other relevant

features, and a table summarizing the results of all prior soil and groundwater sample analyses.

Section 3: Estimated Cost

The estimated cost to perform the scope of work presented as Task 01 is $13,906, while the additional
cost to perfonn the optional scope of work presented as Task 02 is an additional $4,360. An estimate for

each of the above-described tasks is included in Table 1, attached.

Upon receipt of a notice to proceed, Earth Tech will perfonn this work on time-and-materials, not-to-
exceed basis in accordance with the attached fee schedule. Subcontractor costs will be marked up 5

percent to reflect handling costs and interest expenses. Actual charges will be billed on a time and
materials basis.
