1. Two street sweepers to be available at approximately 10:00 AM to pick up flesh horse <br />droppings along the Parade Route and the San Mateo County Jury Parking Lot at Middlefield <br />Rd. and Veterans Blvd after the horse trailers have left. They will also be needed along the <br />Festival area, approximately 7:00 PM at~er the Festival has closed on Thursday July 4. <br /> <br />2. Barri~des for locations around the Festival Area need to be delivered on Wednesday July 3 <br />no later than 5:00 PM. <br /> <br />3. Street barricades for the Parade Route as determined by the Police Department and the PCA. <br />Parade Route barricades need to be in place before 7:00 AM Thursday July 4. <br /> <br />Barricades are also needed at the two entrances to the County Jury Parking lot. These need to <br />be in place before 7:00 AM on Thursday July 4 and remain in place until all equestrian units <br />and trailers have lef~ the area. <br /> <br />4. Install American Flags flags along the Parade Route, immediately before the Parade. The <br />flags owned by the PCA Flags displayed in various places in downtown Redwood City last <br />year in conjunction with a County Board of Supervisors recognition of the September 11 <br />events. Some of these flags may have been removed or damaged. We would like to have the <br />City inventory the remaining flags and assist with obtaining suitable replacements. On July 4t~, <br />the flags are to be removed as soon as possible after the Parade to reduce the possibility of <br />theft, which does occur. <br /> <br />5. Use of a Fire Hydrant for ~: :tue Fire Truck demonstration in the Festival Area on <br />Middlefield Rd. between Broac ay and Winslow St. following the Parade on July 4. <br /> <br />6. Install sandbags on Middlefield between Broadway and Winslow to divert water runoff <br />from the Antique Fire Truck demonstration. Specific locations to be provided by the PCA. <br /> <br />7~ Use of parking structure on Marshall Street on Thursday July 4 and use of Hamilton St. <br />parking lot along Winslow St. for Handicap and Vendor parking from 6:00 P.M. Wednesday <br />July 3 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday July 4. <br /> <br />8. Install Red, White and Blue bunting on front of SMC Historical Museum prior to July 4 and <br />remove. Hang street banner on cable across Broadway by June 4, 2002 <br /> <br />9. Remove pedestrian safety signs from the parade route on Middlefield and on Main. <br /> <br /> <br />
