Recommendation: to delete inconsistent reference to compensation <br />legislation. <br />(Amend Section 21) <br />City Attorney Schricker said that the recommendation is merely "clean <br />up" legislation tied in with previously changed sections. <br />M /S: Britschgi /Claire not to submit the subject recommendation to <br />the electoate because of the large number of proposed amendments <br />being submitted at this time. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />9. Recommendation: that the paragraph in Section 15 regarding publication <br />of ordinances be amended by appropriate language to eliminate the <br />requirement for publication of the ordinance in full, and instead <br />permit publication of the ordinance title, a synopsis, and a statement <br />to the effect that a complete copy of the ordinance will be provided to <br />anyone requesting it. <br />(Amend Sections 15 and 47d) <br />M /S: Biagi /Rhodes to submit subject recommendation regarding Section <br />15 to the electorate. <br />Carried by majority voice vote which Mayor Stangel determined to be <br />6 -1. <br />M /S: Biagi /Mosher to submit subject recommendation regarding Section <br />47d to the electorate. <br />Carried by majority voice vote which Mayor Stangel determined to be <br />6 -1. <br />10. Staff recommendation: Claims procedures <br />(Amend Section 88) <br />City Attorney Schricker advised that there is a conflict between <br />Charter requirements and the State law, but that State law is <br />followed, in any case. The proposed amendment would merely change <br />the Charter to conform to the law in effect. <br />M /S: Biagi /Mosher not to submit to staff recommendations regarding <br />claims procedure to the electorate because of the large number of <br />proposed amendments being submitted at this time. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />11.
