M /S: Claire /Britschgi RESOLUTION NO. 9487 FINDING AND DETERMINING VALUE OF WRITTEN PROTESTS; ORDERING TERRITORY ANNEXED SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION BY VOTERS UPON THE QUESTION OF THE ORDER OF ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION OF LANDS OF REDWOOD MEDICAL CLINIC ET AL TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (4.57 AC) "; CALLING FOR SPECIAL ELECTION UPON SUCH QUESTION; DESIGNATING AFFECTED TERRITORY WITHIN WHICH SUCH SPECIAL ELECTION SHALL BE HELD; AND FIXING DATE OF ELECTION adopted unanimously by roll call vote, Councilman Rhodes not present. In response to question regarding taking of testimony after closing of a public hearing, City Attorney Schricker advised that after a hearing is closed, it cannot be reopened unless the appropriate advertising and notice take place again, since to do otherwise is to give a potential for responding to those present which is not equally available to those who might wish to speak if they had known. Mr. Schricker said that staff or persons who have already given testimony may respond to questions from Council, but no addition may be made to public testimony. In response to question, Mr. Gale Hurley said he did not understand the Council action and was advised to call the City Clerk for information regarding the special election relating to the proposed annexation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS 4.
