<br />ARTICLE 49 <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />SECTION 49.1 Required Notice. At any time a public hearing <br />is set under the provisions of this ordinance, notice thereof <br />shall be given to the public as provided for in this article. <br /> <br />SECTION 49.2 Publication of Notice. Notice of any public <br />hearing set under the provisions of this ordinance shall be given <br />by the body conducting the hearing by publication in the official <br />newspaper of the City of Redwood City at least ten calendar days <br />before the hearing. <br /> <br />SECTION 49.3 Additional Notice. Additional notice of <br />public hearing may be given by mail, posting or direct contact <br />as required by the Councilor administrative body holding the <br />hearing. The failure of any person to receive any notice of <br />public hearing shall not invalidate any proceedings. <br /> <br />SECTION 49.4 Variances and Boundary Changes. For every <br />variance, and whenever any district boundary change is proposed <br />pursuant to Article 60, additional notice of any public hearing <br />shall be given by mailing a notice at least five days prior to <br />the time of hearing to owners of property included within the <br />property to be rezoned and to the owners of property within 300 <br />feet of such property as said owners are shown on the latest <br />equalized assessment roll on which City taxes are collected. <br />The failure of any owner to receive any notice that has been <br />deposited in the United States mail shall not affect the validity <br />of a hearing. <br /> <br />89 <br />
