<br />Deliverables: <br /> <br />3 sets of base mapping <br /> <br />3.4 Utility Plans. This phase consists of compiling base mapping for use by utilities in <br />marking their facilities, and evaluating for potential conflicts. The following procedures <br />shall be followed: <br /> <br />0 Request system mapping and as-builts from utility companies. <br /> <br />0 Compile mapping on base plans, using system mapping, as-built information, and <br />visible and surveyed locations of surface utility facilities. <br /> <br />0 Prepare cover letter for utility companies. After review and approval by City staff, <br />send plans and cover letter to utilities for their confirmation and/or location of <br />facilities. <br /> <br />0 Revise utility mapping per utility comments. <br /> <br />0 Return corrected utility mapping to utilities "for infonnation only". <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br /> <br />Approximately 10 sets of utility plans <br />Draft and final cover letter <br />Final utility mapping plans <br /> <br />Concept Engineering. Prepare CADD generated 1: 1 000 scale geometric of design <br />alternatives. Design alternatives will include review of the work completed to date and the <br />review of new traffic projections. Up to 3 design alternatives would be evaluated. Each <br />alternatives would be evaluated for design exceptions and non-standard features including <br />cost estimates, value analysis and comparison of project alternative issues. <br /> <br />3.5 <br /> <br />Deliverables: 2 reproducibles of 1000 scale preliminary geometric alternatives <br />10 bluelines of 1000 scale geometric alternatives <br />5 copies of Concept Engineering Report <br /> <br />3.6 Traffic Studies. <br /> <br />Obtain 2020 year traffic projections from CCAG. Perfonn manual adjustment based on <br />methodology approved by Caltrans for Design Year 2025. Prepare Traffic Operations <br />Report for the interchange reconstruction, including ramp termini analysis, weaving and <br />merging and intersection analysis. Traffic operation analysis will include existing <br />condition, construction completion year and the design year. <br /> <br />Incorporate comments received from the City and Caltrans, and produce the Final Report. <br />Deliverables: 8 copies of Draft and Final traffic and geometric refinement report <br /> <br />3.7 Geotechnical Design Report and Foundation Study. A geotechnical investigation will <br />be conducted to review field conditions, and to provide recommendations on bridge <br />foundations and roadway design criteria. Work shall include review of all available <br />published geologic and geotechnical reports, including the Materials Report for the Route <br />580 project. The Consultant will notify the City, Underground Service Alert (USA), and <br /> <br />Exhibit "A" <br />Route JOJ/Ralston-Marine Parkway Interchange Project <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />Page 5 <br />
