<br />Task 3 Conceptual Engineering <br /> <br />3.1 Conceptual Plan Development <br /> <br />Develop Conceptual Geometries - Conceptual geometries will be developed by the <br />Consultant. These geometries will be basically line drawings showing the major design <br />features including: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Edge of pavement/curb lines and pavement markings <br />Preliminary profiles <br />General drainage/utility requirements <br />Approximate right-of-way requirements <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The technical aspects of the conceptual geometries will be analyzed to determine the effect <br />of meeting the project goals. Analysis will include at a minimum the following project <br />elements: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Constructibility <br />TraffidConstruction Staging <br />DrainagelUtility Requirements <br />Bicycle and Pedestrian Requirements <br />Traffic Operations <br />Right-of-way Impacts <br />Landscaping Impacts <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />During this activity, any non-standard project elements will be identified. The conceptual <br />plan products will include a large scale plan with accompanying typical cross sections. <br /> <br />The Consultant will be maintaining frequent contact with the City staff during the <br />development of the conceptual geometries. <br /> <br />Present Conceptual Geometries to Citv Staff - The relative impacts of the conceptual plans <br />developed and presented to the City staff, along with the conceptual plans for review and <br />comment. <br /> <br />Revise Conceptual Geometries - Based on the review by the City staff, the Consultant shall <br />revise the conceptual geometries and prepare the necessary exhibits for the Public Meeting. <br /> <br />3.2 Public Meeting <br /> <br />Objectives: <br />. Ensure citizens who may have an interest in the project are well informed and public <br />outreach is encouraged <br />. Promote a positive image for the Redwood City Public Works Department <br />.
