<br />$500.00 and the Relocation Assistance Payment. The Director, or his designee, <br />may provide tenants with vacant rental information as it is available, however, the <br />primary responsibility for locating the replacement unit shall be the tenants. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />METHOD OF DISBURSEMENT <br /> <br />Eligible tenants must complete a Relocation Claim Form (Exhibit IV) which <br />provides information on replacement housing costs at their new unit, the Director <br />will calculate the Housing Assistance payment due by subtracting the old rent plus <br />utilities from the new rent plus utilities for 12 months and making a payment to the <br />tenant in that amount, not to exceed a one time payment of $1,500. <br /> <br />At the time the development application is approved, the Developer will deposit an <br />amount of funds with the Director, in an amount of not less than $2,000 X the total <br />number of occupied units to be converted/demolished. Any additional costs <br />incurred by the Agency will immediately be billed to the Developer. Any excess <br />funds not required for relocation 'expenses will be returned to the Developer. <br /> <br />The Director will authorize payment to the tenants for moving expense and Rental <br />Assistance Payments, generally in one lump sum payment, unless otherwise <br />requested by the tenant (i.e., moving expense payment to be made prior to the <br />Rental Assistance Payment). <br /> <br />5 <br />
