Scope of Services Exhibit "A"
Water Storage Reservoir #2
Page 2

2.2 Monitoring the Contractor's contaminant classification and disposal
procedures.

2.3Monitoring the Contractor's compliance with his health and safety
plan.

2.4Monitoring testing performed by the Contractor to~ that
all contaminants have been removed.

3. Pile Drivinq

Provide full-time on-site inspection during the indicator pile driving
program. An experienced member of our geotechnical engineerin9
department will be assigned specifically to monitor the Contractor's
indicator pile driving program. The geotechnical engineer will be
responsible for:

3.1 Evaluating the manufacturer's specifications for the contractor's
pile driving equipment prior to commencement of the indicator pile
driving.

3.2 Observing pile penetration and resistance, pile resistance upon
retapping, and pile driving hammer energy and efficiency during the
indicator pile driving.

3.3Estsb]ishin9 and recommending the production pile driving criteria
upon completion of the indicator pile driving.

4. Construction Stakinq

This task involves installation of horizontal and vertical control
staking for the new reservoir site, transmission pipeline route,
drainage pipeline route, and access roadway. The scope of work is based
on the assumption that control staking will be installed initially for
the Contractor's use and that subsequent field staking to replace
damaged slakes will be the responsibility of the Contractor or can be
provided at an additional fee paid by the Contractor. This technique
reduces the surveying fees paid by the City and avoids contractor abuse
of the City supplied service.

4.1Stake center of tank with reference points at four radial direction
and two base lines for pump station.

4.2 Stake transmission pipeline at 5 O-foot intervals and storm drain
pipeline at 5 0-foot intervals for approximately 1,200 linear feet
of pipe.
