Task 4 - Conduct Additional Data C911ection <br /> <br />Additional data necessary to the health risk assessment or other <br />studies are to be gathered during this task. Additional data needs <br />will have been identified in Tasks 1 and 3. <br /> <br />Task 5 - Conduct Health Risk Assessment <br /> <br />The health risk assessment is to be conducted during this task <br />according to the approved work program. It is anticipated that the <br />following steps would be conducted, although the consultant will <br />have determined an assessment approach specific to the needs of <br />this project during Task 2. <br /> <br /> - Determine exposed population <br /> - Determine concentrations of compounds <br /> - Develop toxicological profiles for each compound of concern <br /> - Conduct exposure analysis <br /> - Calculate risk (individual cancer risk, non-cancer risk, cancer <br /> burden) <br /> Conduct sensitivity analysis <br /> Documentation of assessment <br /> <br /> The sensitivity analysis is to consider changes in important <br /> assumptions used in the health risk assessment, such as exposure <br /> estimates and the effectiveness of design measures proposed by the <br /> project applicant to limit exposure. <br /> <br /> Documentation of the health risk assessment is to include a section <br /> that is suitable for inclusion in a CEQA-type document. All <br /> methodology must be clearly presented, and assumptions given <br /> (consistent with the work program), such that the assessment can be <br /> reviewed and defended. <br /> <br /> Task 6 - A~enc¥ Review and Acceptance of Health Risk Assessment <br /> The consultant will assist the City by distributing the completed <br /> health risk assessment for review by the same agencies discussed <br /> under Task 3. The consultant shall work with the City to solicit <br /> comments on the completed health risk assessment from these <br /> <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
