The <br /> contractor agrees to take affirmative action to ensure that <br /> applicants are employed, and that employees are treated <br /> during employment, without regard to their race, religion, <br /> color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental <br /> disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political <br /> affiliation. Such action shall include, but not be limited to <br /> the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfers; <br /> recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; <br /> rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection <br /> for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor <br /> agrees to post in conspicuous places, available to <br /> employees and applicants for employment, notices to be <br /> provided by the City of Redwood City setting forth the <br /> provisions of this Fair Employment Practices section. <br /> (2) The Contractor agrees to permit access to his records of <br /> employment, employment advertisements, application forms, <br /> and other pertinent data and records by the State Fair <br /> Employment Practices Commission, or any other agency of <br /> the State of California designated by the awarding authority, <br /> for the purposes of investigation to ascertain compliance <br /> with the Fair Employment Practices section of this contract. <br /> D. Nondiscrimination Based on Disability. <br /> Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of <br /> Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, <br /> providing equal access and reasonable accommodations in <br /> employment programs and services to persons who are disabled. <br /> E. Interest of Public Officialse <br /> No members, officers, employees, or agents of the City of <br /> Redwood City, no member of the City Council and no other public <br /> official who exercises any function or responsibility with respect to <br /> this Agreement or Contractor's Program during his or his tenure, or <br /> for one year thereafter, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in <br /> this contract or a related subcontract, or the proceeds thereof. <br /> Contractor shall incorporate in all subcontracts hereunder a <br /> provision prohibiting such interest. <br /> 1/18/99 6 <br /> _ . .. . , � ___ ....__.._. . ____w. <br />
