The contractor agrees to take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political affiliation. Such action shall include, but not be limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfers; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor agrees to post in conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for employment, notices to be provided by the City of Redwood City setting forth the provisions of this Fair Employment Practices section. (2) The Contractor agrees to permit access to his records of employment, employment advertisements, application forms, and other pertinent data and records by the State Fair Employment Practices Commission, or any other agency of the State of California designated by the awarding authority, for the purposes of investigation to ascertain compliance with the Fair Employment Practices section of this contract. D. Nondiscrimination Based on Disability. Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, providing equal access and reasonable accommodations in employment programs and services to persons who are disabled. E. Interest of Public Officialse No members, officers, employees, or agents of the City of Redwood City, no member of the City Council and no other public official who exercises any function or responsibility with respect to this Agreement or Contractor's Program during his or his tenure, or for one year thereafter, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or a related subcontract, or the proceeds thereof.
