Preserve existing street and private trees <br />when practical during sidewalk repairs. <br /> <br />OBJECTIVES THAT SUPPORT CITY COUNCIL PRIORITIES: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Overarching Council Priority: Operate the City Efficiently and Effectively <br /> <br />Demonstrate that the City is removing the appropriate number of street trees as a result of the <br />annual sidewalk repair program. <br /> <br />Performance Indicator: <br /> <br />Retain as many street trees as possible using acceptable <br />arboricultural standards for tree preservation and safety. <br />Ratio of street trees retained compared to the street trees removed <br />within the annual project boundaries. <br />Establish a base year in year one, and compare results in year two, <br />FY 99-00. <br /> <br />Goal No.1: <br /> <br />Status or Target: <br /> <br />OUTCOME BASE YEAR - FY 98/99 <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE MEASURES I BASE YEAR: Two FY 98/99 target measures.
