Due to timing and other <br />restrictions, no serious discussions have taken place to further consider these sites. <br /> <br />With no serious offers to take the soil stockpile material, contract documents have been <br />completed by Engineering and Construction to remove the material, either at an <br />approved landfill or for reuse. The contract documents are now ready for <br />advertisement. The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $425,000. <br /> <br />A complete copy of the Contract Documents is available for review in Engineering and <br />Construction. <br /> <br />Approval will allow the City to close out the remaining accounts relating to the grade <br />separation, and get rid of a large unsightly mound of dirt. Because the soil was <br />"tainted" with hydrocarbon contaminates, we have asked the City Attorney's Office to <br />recover all costs for disposal of contaminated soils from responsible parties.
