<br />Alternatives <br />Staff has identified two alternatives: <br /> <br />'70.2. <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br /> <br />Do not perform this necessary work. <br /> <br />Write several smaller contracts requiring additional staff time and Council time bidding and <br />awarding contracts, orientating more contract crews and potentially receiving vastly varied <br />bids for the work to be completed. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Funds have been proposed for contract street tree maintenance in the amount of $318,000 in <br />the Department's 2000/2001 Street Tree Maintenance sub-program budget request. This <br />contains a $60,000 increase over the previous contract budgets.
