g -� �1 <br /> were established under Ordinance No. 1130, as amended, the Redwood City <br /> Zoning Ordinance (°Zoning Ordinance"); <br /> (ii) Large scale office developments have been, and are being, proposed <br /> for developed and undeveloped properties, as individual parcels, or combined <br /> parcels, particularly within the "PO" (Professional O�ce), "CA" (Central <br /> Administrative), "CN" (Neighborhood Commercial), "CB" (Central Business), "CG" <br /> (General Commercial), "IR" (Industrial-Restricted), "IP" (Industrial Park), and <br /> "CBR" (Central Business Retail) Zoning Districts; <br /> (iii) Such relatively large-scale office devetopment proposals, if allowed to <br /> proceed to construction, would create structures disproportionate to, and in <br /> conflict with the appearance of, existing structures adjacent to or in the vicinity <br /> thereof; <br /> (iv) Such office development proposals, if allowed to proceed to <br /> construction, would use land resources which could otherwise be developed for <br /> housing, commercial, and other uses compatible with, and supportive of existing <br /> uses, including residential uses; <br /> (v) The unavailability of housing in the City of Redwood City is critical and <br /> the housing shortage has adversely affected economic and social resources of <br /> the City, including businesses, schools, colleges, and professions; <br /> (vi) If the trend of office development were allowed to continue, critically <br /> necessary housing, commercial, and other-use sites will be eliminated, thereby <br /> Ord-121 4 <br /> F:/sha red/redwood/council <br /> DES:rg <br /> 10/18/00 <br /> _ �. ._. . _. �..._. _. _ .._ . ____.�,...__.�._._._. _._.._ _ <br />
