<br />During design of the project the Shoreline Drive right turn lane was the subject of many changes due to ongoing
<br />negotiations and design refinements occurring on the adjoining properties, This required us to redraft and layout the
<br />turn lane through a number of iterations after the preliminary design was approved, We are requesting $4,129,00
<br />for this extra work item,

<br />ITEM 5 RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJUSTMENTS BY CITY,

<br />During the negotiations with the adjoining property owners and determination of the correct right-of-way layout, we
<br />were far along in the development of our plans, Each time the right-of-way was changed or adjusted we were
<br />required to make corresponding adjustment to our improvement plans to make them consistent with the right-of-way
<br />dedications, Given that this right-of-way process became an iterative one. we made numerous repetitive changes to
<br />our plan in order to keep them.in conformance with your right-of-way take proposals as outlined in our January 17,
<br />1998 letter. We are requesting $3,324.00 for this work, This work was required because the City was modifying the
<br />RO, W, and was in a negotiating process with the adjoining property owners, .
