<br />We prepared study specs and plans for various alternatives in the project including the addition of a video detection
<br />, system and various loop modifications to accommodate that design and other alternatives. These alternatives were
<br />presented with the bid documents that were ultimately put out to bid. Our requested fee for these items is $3,478.00.
<br />This work would not have been required based on our original contract but was requested towards the end of the
<br />design process by the City,

<br />The above items were clearly documented during design as extra work, They were all based on direct request by the
<br />City, We also have a construction staking extra request in for $5,767,00 dated July 1. 1997, You have identified a
<br />backcharge of $2,100 which we would credit against the extra resulting in a total of $3,667,00 construction staking
<br />extra,
<br />
<br />In addition to the above described items a number of other work task were completed in support of the above efforts
<br />as well as completing the final design for the overall project. These items were also delineated in our January 17,
<br />1998 letter.

<br />ITEM 7 - MEDIAN MODIFICATIONS AT ELECTRONIC ARTS (ELECTRONIC ARTS)

<br />Item 1 b modifications to existing median along Redwood Shores Parkway to facilitate the left turn lane at the
<br />Electronic Arts/Shopping Center intersection and dual left turn lanes at Shoreline Drive, This item was based on a
<br />request by Adam Gee to modify additional portions of the median that where not anticipated in the original widening
<br />project to help coordinate with the on going design of the Electronic Arts and the Shopping Center sites, We utilized
<br />a total fee of $3.610,00 based on the following breakdown:
