<br />EXHIBIT A <br />REDWOOD CITY 2020 ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES AND STRATEGIES <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY 2020 ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Operations Committee <br />Composed of senior staff from each of the funding partners of Redwood City 2020 (RC <br />2020) - City of Redwood City, San Mateo County, Redwood City School District and <br />Sequoia Union High School District, will meet monthly and work by consensus to assist <br />the RC 2020 Executive Director to develop recommendations to be presented to the <br />Coordinating Council. <br /> <br />The Operations Committee will: <br /> <br />A. Recruit and hire and/or contract for an Executive Director. <br />B. Supervise the Executive Director. <br />C. Develop operating agreements for approval by the Coordinating Council. <br />D. Oversee the implementation ofRC 2020's collaborative and community building <br />strategies. <br />E. Develop- standards and criteria for the work completed by RC 2020 for approval by <br />the Coordinating Council. . <br />F. Develop annual budget for approval by Coordinating Council. <br />G. Take proposals that meet the following criteria to the Coordinating Council: <br /> <br />1. The project connects with RC 2020 vision and partner agency goals. <br />2. The project requires member agency resources (money, people, facilities, time). <br />3. The project has a broad impact. <br />4. The Operations Committee has reviewed the proposal and prepared a presentation <br />for the Coordinating Council. <br /> <br />II. The Coordinating Council, composed of one representative from each of the funding <br />partner's governing Boards (and one alternate member from each of these Boards), and <br />the members of the Operations Committee, will meet quarterly to: <br /> <br />A. Monitor RC 2020 activities. <br />B. Consider recommendations regarding new projects and/or taking existing projects to <br />scale. <br />C. Develop recommendations to take back to their respective governing bodies relating <br />to allocation of resources. <br />D. Serve as the decision making body for RC 2020, using a consensus model of decision <br />making. <br /> <br />III. Implementing Task Forces <br />Implementing Task Forces will be identified to work on community wide projects that <br />have been approved by the Coordinating Council. Implementation Task Forces will <br />provide information about the status of projects to the Operations Committee which will <br /> <br />.-.....,.. T ...... ........... <br />
