One of the main
items-which was mentioned in Mr. Morton's report-was the construct-
ion of a handball court for Redwood City. This matter was widely
discussed, and Mr. Bedburry, an enthusiastic handball devotee,
spoke to the group on the sUbject, and introduced proposed plans
for the Court at an estimated cost of $600-- a box court with=a
single wall court on one end. Mr. Bogie moved that the construct-
ion of a handball court be incorporated in the proposed budget
for the recreation department to be presented to the City Council
for the coming fiscal year. The motion was seconded by Mr. Van
Gundy and ca~ried unanimously.

'--" i

The rifle range discussed- at the previous meeting was
discussed further, and Mr. Van Gundy moved that the Commission
recommend to the City Council that definite action be taken in
whole or in part in the matter of constructing a small bore rifle
range and pistol range. The motion was seconded by Mrs. MCAtee~
and carried unanimously.

Acting-Chairman Hagan appointed a Committee to summar-
ize the action taken by this Commission since its inception, Oct-
ober 14, 1931, in order to assemble the proposed budget for the-

-- -- -- 'no -

n ..--__n-

.--on_-- --_..- -, - -- -- n

---.. --

iIJIP'
