The EDCCO Group has been servicing the City of Foster City for several years. Located in San Carlos, The EDCCO Group's staff can
respond to the city's urgent needs within the hour as needed. EDCCO programmers and service engineers are familiar with the City of
Foster Citys various sewer, storm, water, facilities as well as the central SCADA systems. The EDCCO Group's experience with design,
programming, and field retrofit's activities for the City's various facilities will facilitate the needed transition and integration needs for this
project. Staff includes 4 System Engineers, 3 Field Engineers, 2 clerical and 1 drafting technician. Services are aided by contract
personnel and a local fabrication facility, Offerings include panel design, PLC programming, HMI programming, SCADA network
infrastructure including wire -line, telco, radio (licensed and unlicensed), microwave, fiber, power line sub -carrier, and Internet. Familiar with
the intimate workings of water pumping, transmission, treatment, distribution, and storage, wastewater collection and treatment, storm -
water collection, pumping, and detention, lagoon and tideland management, standby power systems, co -generation, power generation,
natural gas compression and distribution, power transmission and distribution, pollution control, factory floor automation, and plant safety
systems.
Eric Daniel, Control Systems Engineer
A Control Systems engineer with 30 years of specialized experience in municipal utility and civic projects. An emphasis on state of the art
controls and control strategies; problem determination and mitigation, and critical path solutions. A straightforward approach to control
applications with streamlined and timely solutions. Engineering and feasibility studies and team consultations. Specialization in panel
design, PLC programming, HMI programming, SCADA network infrastructure including wire -line, telco, radio (licensed and unlicensed),
microwave, fiber, power line subcarner, and Internet. Familiar with the intimate workings of water pumping, transmission, treatment,
distribution, and storage, wastewater collection and treatment, storm -water collection, pumping, and detention, lagoon and tideland
management, standby power systems, co -generation, power generation, natural gas compression and distribution, power transmission
and distribution, pollution control, factory floor automation, and plant safety systems.
Projects:
City of Foster City, Various projects, including 56 remote sites (sewage lift stations, water booster station,
lagoon monitoring, level measurement stations, pressure and flow monitoring stations) equipped with PLC
controls, RTUs, VFDs, instrumentation, Local/Distributed control strategies, and 2 redundant SCADA
nodes communicating via a 450MHZ licensed radio network. Each facility is equipped with an Allen
Bradley PLC and MDS licensed UHF radio. Each Master site is completely redundant, including redundant
history servers. In addition to the PLC and HMI programming and integration, The EDCCO Group,
performed the radio surveys and licensed the present radio network.
