8.C. - Page 17 <br />Council. (As amended November 3, 2oo9 and filed by the Secretary of State February 9, 2010). <br />(b) All members of such Board shall at the time of their appointments and continuously during <br />their incumbencies be residents and electors of the City. <br />(c) Any members of such Board may be removed at any time by an affirmative vote of five - <br />sevenths (5/7ths) of all members of the City Council. <br />(d) The members thereof shall serve for a term of four (4) years each and thereafter until their <br />successors are appointed and qualified. Boardmembers in the office at the time this amendment <br />takes effect shall continue in office until the end of their respective terms. (As amended <br />November 6, 2007, filed by Secretary of State March 12, 2008). <br />(e) No person shall be an_nointed to the Board for more than four full consecutive terms. A partial <br />term to which a person is appointed to fill a vacancv on the Board shall not be included in <br />computing consecutive terms. The full term during which a member may resign shall be included <br />in the same manner as if no resignation had taken place. If a member is not reappointed after <br />serving one or more terms, such member may be appointed in a later appointment cvcle and <br />shall be eligible to serve four consecutive terms from the date of the later appointment. Full <br />terms or partial terms served prior to January 1, 201A shall be included in computing consecutive <br />terms. When a member completes a term without being reappointed to the succeeding term, <br />including instances in which a member is not reappointed because of the term limits set forth <br />herein, such member shall continue to serve until their successor is appointed and qualified. <br />(ef) The members of such Board shall receive no compensation. (As amended April lo, 1984, <br />certified by Secretary of State June 21,1984•) <br />(fg)The Library Board shall establish rules for its proceedings and the authority and duties of the <br />Library Board shall be set forth by the City Council.
