verify monitor accuracy over a range of flow depths. The flow data will be
collected at 5 -minute intervals and reported at 15 -minute intervals. The meters
will be implemented at each site visit and the data (considered preliminary) will
be provided to the City for review on a weekly basis within three (3) days after
implementation. At the City s discretion, the data submittals may be reduced to a
biweekly basis after the first two (2) weeks if the initial data appears to be good.
The final data shall be compiled following removal of the flow meters and the rain
gauge. In the event that more than one flow meter fails to provide usable data
during a significant storm event (> 0.5 inches of rainfall in 24 hours), Consultant
shall extend the monitoring period for up to two (2) weeks at no additional cost to
the City.
Deliverable:
Consultant shall provide, install and remove six (6) flow meters and minimum of
one (1) rain gauge for a period of sixty (60) days starting no later than December
11, 2017, with an option to extend the monitoring on a weekly basis up to one
additional month. Additional rain gauges may be used to insure accurate and
appropriate readings at no additional cost to the City.
3. Data Analysis and Flow Monitoring Report:
Consultant shall provide data analysis and a flow monitoring report that includes,
but not limited to, site details and pictures; field installation and maintenance
sheets including calibration data; depth -velocity scatter plots; 7 -day plots of flow
for each meter and rainfall for each rain gauge; and summary tabulation of daily
average, minimum, peak flow, inflow and infiltration information (Inflow rate and
Rain Dependent Infiltration rate analysis) and site comparison for each flow
meter. Report to be finalized and approved by the City. Consultant shall make
revisions to the report to the satisfaction of the City at no additional cost.
Deliverable:
Consultant shall provide the City with a Flow Monitoring Report (1 hard copy and
1 digital, PDF, copy). Electronic files shall be submitted in Excel format
containing depth, velocity, and flow rates for each meter and rainfall for each rain
gauge in 15 -minute intervals. Additional computer data or models used shall be
submitted as well. Final report and data shall be delivered within three (3) weeks
of completion of flow monitoring.
Consultant shall perform all the work in the best workmanlike manner,
conforming to all applicable standards, specifications, codes, laws, and
regulations. Consultant shall take all necessary safety precautions and comply
with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations including those relevant
to work in confined spaces. Consultant shall comply with all applicable traffic
control requirements including those of the City or agency with jurisdiction over
the meter sites.
REV: 11-28-17 PR
ATTY/AGR.2017.280N & A Consulting Engineers, Inc.
