Peter Vorametsanti
July 2,1991
Page two

II

Describe changes in plant or animal species diversity or changes in overall
numbers of any species. This assessment will address impacts to any
unique, rare or endangered species that may occur in the vicinity; the
introduction of new species into the area; and the possible creation of a
barrier to the nonnal movements or replenislunent of existing species. The
possible deterioration of existing habitat will also be discussed, particularly
in light of the existing wetland area.

Describe any increases in existing noise levels or exposure of sensitive
receptors to severe noise levels that may be caused by the proposed project.

Describe the potential of the proposed project to result in a substantial
alteration of present or planned land use of the area surrounding the
proposed levees.

Describe the potential of the proposed project to result in a substantial
alteration of the visual resources of the area surrounding the proposed
project.

Describe the potential of the proposed project to result in an increase in the
rate of use of any natural resource and/or the substantial depletion of any
non-renewable natural resource.

Describe the potential of the proposed project to result in an alteration of
the location, distribution, density or growth of the human population of the
project area. This discussion will also address any affects stemming from
the project on existing housing and housing demand.

Describe changes that might occur in transportation and circulation patterns
due to the proposed project.

Describe changes that might occur in requirements for utilities and public
service due to the proposed project. This assessment will also address the
fuel or energy needs of the proposed project.

Describe the potential for the proposed project to create any public health
hazards.

Describe the potential for the proposed project to impact recreational
opportunities.

Describe the potential for the proposed project to impact
archaeological/historical resources.

Based on an assessment of these issues ESA will provide a discussion of any findings
of significance in accordance with CEQA and Redwood City Guidelines for Initial
Study preparation. For those impacts found to be significant we will recommend
mitigation measures that would reduce impacts to levels of insignificance.

ESA
