City of Redwood City Statement of Work Hardware— Microsoft BackOffice Suite— Microsoft suite of products that includes the following server products. These have to be included with all servers 0 Windows NT Server 4.0 � SQL Server-Microsoft SQL ServerTM 6.5 0 Exchange Server, an e-mail server that embraces Internet standards and extends rich messaging and collaboration to businesses of all sizes. ❑ Proxy Server-An Internet proxy server that provides fast and secure Internet access to every desktop in your organization. ❑ Site Server- A comprehensive Web site environment for enhancing, deploying, and managing intranet sites on Windows NT Server and Internet Information Server. ❑ Systems Management Server- Centralized management tools that provide extensible computer inventory, software distribution, and diagnostic services. ❑ SNA Server-The reliable platform that integrates existing legacy systems and data with the Palladium0 CAD and Records Management System. BackOffice Client Access Licenses - All client workstations come equipped with BackOffice Client Access licenses so that they can use all of the features of Microsoft's BackOffice software package including access to a11 Windows NT servers, SQL servers, Exchange Mail servers, system management servers, and SNA servers. No additionai client licenses are necessary to access new NT servers if they may be added to the network over a period of time. However, new NT users will require licenses. BackOffice is provided with all servers and clients as proposed. However, if the City is procuring their own clients or have existing hardware that may be used Lucent requires licenses for NT and SQL have to be purchased at minimum for the clients. BackOffice an option offers Exchange Mail and a SQL client license. Microsoft Windows NT =All servers run the Microsoft Windows NT Server operating system (currently version 4.0). The clients run the Microsoft Windows NT Workstation operating system (currently version 4.0). Windows NT is the easiest-to-use server operating system for your most demanding business needs.
