MIG will update the City's demographic information and related data that is used to <br />determine service standards. MIG will also review current recreation data from national <br />and state sources to identify what trends the City should be preparing to serve. The trends <br />are responsive to changes in demographics and preferences based on age, culture and <br />other factors. <br />Deliverable: Memorandum presenting existing conditions and trends section <br />Deadline: Task completed within 30 days of Task 1. <br />TASK 3 — COMMUNITY INPUT <br />Task 3.1: Community Survey— Web and Print Versions in Spanish and English <br />To allow for broad and convenient participation, MIG will develop a simple web -based <br />survey using Survey Monkey to collect input on people's recreation needs, concerns and <br />preferences. The survey will be hosted on the City's website and publicized using the <br />City's established outreach methods such as social media, electronic and print <br />communications with residents and employees, emails to user groups and interested <br />parties and other established tools. This opt -in survey will allow anyone who wants to <br />participate to provide input on the Assessment. The survey will be available in Spanish <br />and English. <br />Print versions of the survey will also be available to help reach those who don't have <br />access to or prefer not to use the internet. Print versions of the surveys will be distributed <br />through staff and trusted partners to reach residents who are not on-line and who prefer <br />to respond in Spanish. MIG will tabulate data for the surveys completed via paper and <br />provide a report that presents the results. <br />Deliverable: English and Spanish-language survey including a web version (to be hosted <br />on City's website), print version to be distributed at community centers; memorandum <br />reporting survey results. <br />Task 3.2: Stakeholder Meetings (4) <br />MIG will conduct group interviews with stakeholders representing team sports, seniors, <br />families with young children, and other interests. MIG will create a set of standard <br />questions to guide the interviews. MIG will report the results in aggregate to maintain <br />confidentiality of the responses. The City will assist MIG with scheduling the interviews <br />over a one -to -two-day period so the meetings can be conducted over 1-2 days. MIG will <br />interview 4-8 people per group. <br />Deliverable: Memorandum reporting key findings <br />Task 3.3: Focus Group Meetings (4) <br />MIG will conduct four focus groups to inform the Needs Assessment. MIG will provide a <br />facilitator and note taker for each of the groups.
